The Feedback Alignment Protocol
A RAW Systems Work Model Protocol: The loops are running. They are not talking to each other.
What this is for: Developing the capacity to align the feedback loops you are part of from inside them — working with the gap between what the adaptive loop carries from the past and what the anticipatory loop carries toward the future, so that the system’s decision points receive integrated information and can move toward the goal.
When to use: When transformation energy keeps dissipating between vision moments and operational reality. When the system rediscovers the same priorities repeatedly without sustained movement. When pockets of change emerge but do not propagate. When the gap between what the system aspires to and what it produces keeps widening despite genuine effort on both sides.
The goal: To function as a part that connects the two feedback loops from inside them — introducing goal-relevant information that integrates what the system has been and what it is becoming, so the decision points you occupy can move the system toward its aim.
