The Hidden Commitment Protocol

A RAW Systems Work Model Protocol: The system wants to change. It also wants to stay exactly as it is.

What this is for: Developing the capacity to work with hidden competing commitments from inside the system — recognising your own participation in the immunity to change and using that recognition to influence what the system produces next.

When to use: When the system commits to change and consistently fails to produce it. When effort increases and the pattern persists. When you can see the immunity operating in others and have not yet seen it operating through you. When the system’s self-regulation dynamics keep returning it to a state it declares it wants to leave.

The goal: To work with the hidden commitments that are maintaining the current pattern from inside the system — beginning with your own functioning, and extending through the connections you are part of — so that what the system is protecting becomes visible and workable.
